A major road accident occurred near Paraiyur in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus, carrying approximately 45 passengers, veered off the road and plunged into a roadside agricultural field. The sudden mishap, which was reportedly triggered by a technical engine issue, left over 20 passengers injured, causing panic among the commuters. Local residents and emergency services rushed to the spot to rescue the trapped passengers. The injured individuals were quickly evacuated from the scene and rushed to the Kumarapalayam Government Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Local police have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the exact mechanical failure that led to the accident.
